Red Box sponsors APD Control Room Awards 2021

Launched by APD Communications, specialists in mission-critical solutions for the emergency services, the prestigious Control Room Awards celebrate the outstanding achievement, bravery and commitment across the Control Room community.

For the first time in its history the awards will take place online on May 14^th, giving Control Room heroes the opportunity to share their achievements with families and provide unique insight into the dedication and resilience that makes their profession so special.

Red Box will sponsor the ‘Community Champion’ award and the winner will be chosen via an interactive vote, with all nominations closing on April 5^th, 2021.

Nadine Edmondson, Director of Product and Marketing Operations at Red Box comments,

“During a time when the emergency services are under immense pressure, it’s important to shine a light on the crucial work of the Control Room and wider community and so we are delighted to support the awards for the third consecutive year.”

She adds:

“Despite these unprecedented times and the additional strain due to spikes in call volumes, Control Room teams across the globe have continued to do an outstanding job in the face of adversity.”

• Control Room Dispatcher of the Year
• Young Achiever of the Year
• Community Champion
• Leader of the Year
• Team of the Year
• Special Recognition Award for Bravery and Courage
• Control Room Ambassador of the Year
• The John Gilhooly Unsung Hero Award

This year will also see a competition for the best-dressed virtual attendee, with shortlisted participants receiving home delivered treats, props and additional special gifts to help them make the most of the occasion.
