Department Description

The Red Box Product Team drives the product strategy and portfolio. The team leads the inception, rollout and ongoing management of both the Quantify and Conversa platforms, creating customer value and supporting the company’s objectives. The team furthers the definition and growth of the products in their target markets and works cross functionally to identify, define and support new product propositions and to ensure full market readiness for launch.


Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Owner with a passion for defining and delivering world class software features and user journeys that excite and engage our customers.

You are a hands on collaborator, able to build requirements from a range of stakeholders to enable the delivery of fit-for-purpose increments.

You will be working as part of a cross functional delivery team (using agile delivery methods) that includes Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and QA specialists in an ambitious, successful and rapidly transforming business.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to become a subject matter expert
  • Produce/oversee the production of clear and concise documentation – Requirements, User Stories, Technical Specifications
  • Critically analyse requirements and offer technical input into potential solutions
  • Deliver clear concise User Stories and Acceptance Criteria that can feed directly into the development process
  • Present ideas to a cross-functional team (technical and non-technical) and manage the review/feedback process
  • Play a proactive role in providing clarity and/or removing roadblocks to the team’s effective completion of release/sprint goals and to ensure the right solutions are delivered
  • Work with the Product Managers and the Scrum/Agile Team to define user Stories and prioritise and manage the Team Backlog, attending the ceremonies associated with Scrum


Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Must have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst within a software company in the IT or telecoms space
  • Experience of working within an agile environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to listen
  • Commitment to the project, vision, team and the business
  • Ability to run Stakeholder meetings
  • Confident presenter and conveyor of overviews and detail
  • Ability to distil a coherent specification from the requirements of multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage to 3rd party stakeholders
  • Experience working within a software company, Telecoms Domain knowledge preferable
  • Experience with various software e.g. Confluence, Aha!, AzureDevOps (or Jira), Visio
  • Experience in Scrum or Agile

Desirable to have:

  • Previous experience in SAFe.
  • Experience of voice recording
  • Degree or equivalent
  • Industry recognised qualification e.g. CSPO, IIBA, PMI-ACP
